M100Campus360 ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of our users (students, teachers, wardens, and parents). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

A. Personal Data
While using our application, we may collect personally identifiable information, including but not limited to:
- Name and Email Address: For account identification and communication.
- User ID: A unique identifier assigned to you by your institution.
- Role: Your designation (e.g., Student, Teacher, Warden, Parent).
B. Biometric Information (Face Recognition)
To facilitate automated attendance, the app uses face recognition technology.
- Face Embeddings: When you use the Face Attendance feature, the app processes camera images locally to generate a numerical "embedding" (a string of numbers representing facial features).
- Local Processing: All face detection and recognition are performed locally on your device using Google ML Kit. We do not store raw images or videos of your face on our servers.
C. Usage Data and Permissions
We request the following permissions to ensure the app functions correctly:
- Camera: Used exclusively for identity verification and attendance marking.
- Notifications: To send important campus announcements and alerts.
- Internet/Network State: To synchronize attendance records and academic marks with the institution's database.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide and maintain the service (attendance logging, grade viewing).
- Verify your identity to prevent unauthorized attendance marking.
- Enable communication between the institution and users via announcements.
- Improve app performance and user experience.
3. Storage and Security
- Local Storage: We use an encrypted Room Database to store temporary records on your device.
- Security: We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell or trade your personal information. Data is only shared with your affiliated educational institution for the purpose of maintaining academic and attendance records.
5. Third-Party Services
The app may use third-party libraries such as:
- Google ML Kit: For local face detection.
- Coil: For image loading.
These services may collect information as per their own privacy policies.
6. Children's Privacy
Our services are intended for use by students and their parents. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 without parental/guardian consent through the institution's enrollment process.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, update, or delete the personal information we hold about you.
If you would like to request that your account and associated data be deleted, you can do so directly within the mobile application settings, or by visiting our dedicated Account Deletion Request Page.
